Poll Results: Should an Undefeated Boise State Play in the BCS champoinship game?
There are two ways to look at the results of this poll. First, the category that received the most votes was "No" with 39% of the votes. That was followed by "Yes, no questions asked" with 24%, "Yes, if two AQ champs are not undefeated" with 22%, and "Yes, if Virginia Tech and Oregon State have a good year" had 15%. Poll Results: Should the academics of a university be a deciding factor in expansion?
Thank you to everyone who voted in the lastes poll, "Should the academics of a university be a deciding factor in expansion?" Sixty (60) percent said that academics should not be a deciding factor in conference expansion. I have to say I agree. If you have visited the Conferences page of this blog you have found a link to each conference's official web site. If you click through those you will find that these web sites are dedicated to college athletics. The conferences were established because of sports, not academics.

Poll Results: Should Notre Dame stay independent in football?
One half of you said Notre Dame should stay independent. Joining the Big 10 was second and joining the Big East was a distant third (one vote). Personally, I think that Notre Dame should stay independent. I think that Notre Dame being independent is a big part of the identity of college football. I also would like to see the Big East cease to exist as a football conference and if Notre Dame joined the Big East it would save that conference. As for the Big 10, if Notre Dame joined, then I don't think we have much of a domino effect in conference expansion, which is something I am really looking forward to, for better or worse.
Thanks to all who voted. Be sure to vote in the new poll: Should the academics of a university be a deciding factor in expansion?

You were right with the poll this week. LSU vs. Ole Miss received 57 percent of the vote, and sure enough, Ole Miss pulled off the upset. An Oregon touchdown with less than 30 seconds left to force overtime game Oregon the extra time it needed to beat a tough Arizona team.
