Football season is right around the corner, and each week we will have the privilege of watching defense chasing the chaste, only this year we know it.
University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was making headlines, once again, last week at the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Media Days. True to form, his headlines were for being a notch above the ordinary. One media member was bold enough to question Tebow about his virginity, which he replied was still in tact. We all know Tebow as an excellent football player and a devout christian. However, the disturbing trends that we are witnessing is that excellent football players are increasingly unchaste, and even devout Christians are indulging in pre-marital sex.
It is wonderful to see a player of Tebow's stature and influence boldly standing for right. He has been a great role model that I hope players on all levels are trying to emulate.
